Raider of the LOST Art

I have always been very heavily influenced by the films and shows that I watch, even more so I would venture to say than by the books that I read. Partly because the experience of getting sucked into another world for a bit is so overwhelming and partly because when I watch something, I don't just watch it. I watch it multiple times. I read about it. I find blogs and websites about it. I daydream fan fiction. It gets ridiculous.

My point is, I make a lot of things related to and have a lot of thoughts and theories concerning tv, film, and books. I am a Fangirl.

See, I still dress up like Wonder Woman...but not as often as my husband dresses up like Batman.

Lately, most of the art projects I have been working on seem to be related to or inspired by the tv show LOST. (This is probably because it is the best show in the history of television.) Why not start off my new blogging experience with a little LOST art:

Swan Song :A small mural I made for a community art project.

I love trying to pinpoint iconic images that represent a character so quickly and completely that someone else who watches the show will immediately know who you are referencing.

These are my "Sawyer" bobby pins.

Currently I am wearing one of my Dharma Initiative fish biscuit pendants every day. I am in love with it.

Hey- if they are good enough for the polar bears, they are good enough for me.

Hand sewn felt brooches are pretty stylish at the moment, but I prefer sneaky references to pop culture over the usual flowers or birds.
